लेखक परिचय –
महाविद्यालयीन शिक्षण पूर्ण केल्यानंतर काही वर्ष अभाविप या विद्यार्थी संघटनेत पूर्णवेळ काम केले. विद्यार्थी चळवळीत काम करत असताना आसपास घडणाऱ्या छोट्या मोठ्या घटनांकडे पाहण्याचा दृष्टीकोन अधिकाधिक सजग होत गेला. त्यातून मनात उमटणारे तरंग शब्दबद्ध करून कागदावर उतरविण्याचा छंद जडला. आतापर्यंत त्यांची चार पुस्तके प्रकाशित झाली आहेत.
सुहास वैद्य
त्यांच्या ‘वैदेही’ कादंबरीत, उत्तर रामायणात; पुन्हा एकदा वनवास स्वीकारावा लागलेली सीता तत्कालीन समाजाच्या चालीरीतींकडे कशी पाहते ? त्यावेळी सीतेच्या मनात उमटणाऱ्या भाव भावना कशा असतील ? याचे शब्दचित्र रेखाटतांना एका अतिशय वेगळ्या पैलूंचे दर्शन घडते.

असं न् काय !
लेखकाचा हा बालकथा संग्रह म्हणजे बालसाहित्यातील पहिले पाऊल आहे. आजीने सांगितलेल्या आणि तत्कालीन कौटुंबिक संस्कार प्रयोगशाळेतील यशस्वी ठरलेल्या कथांचा हा संग्रह आहे. कथा छोट्या छोट्या पण बालमनावर मूल्याधिष्ठित संस्कार करणाऱ्या आहेत. त्यांच्या चारही पुस्तकांचे वाचकांनी भरभरून स्वागत केले आहे. लेखकाची लेखनशैली पाहता या पुस्तकाला सुद्धा वाचकांचा भरघोस प्रतिसाद मिळेल अशी खात्री आहे.
डॉ. सुनीलदत्त गवरे यांचे “कारणकार्याविषयीचे” हे लेखन अनेक कारणांनी महत्त्वपूर्ण आणि स्तुत्य ठरते. निवडलेला विषय तत्त्वज्ञानाच्या अभ्यासात मूलभूत असून, मराठीत त्यावर सविस्तर विवेचन क्वचितच आढळते. या ग्रंथात पाश्चात्य आणि पौर्वात्य तत्त्वज्ञानातील कारणसंकल्पना सखोल, साधार व अभ्यासपूर्ण पद्धतीने स्पष्ट केली आहे.
