श्री मधुकर काळे हे प्राथमिक शाळेतील सेवानीवृत्त शिक्षक आहेत. वयाच्या ७९व्या वर्षी त्यांनी हे पुस्तक लिहिले आहे. इंग्रजी, मराठी, हिंदी, उर्दू व संस्कृत या भाषांचा त्यांना सखोल व्यासंग आहे. तसेच ते संमोहनशास्त्राचे जाणकार आहेत. याशिवाय विज्ञान, तत्त्वज्ञान, मानसशास्त्र आणि वैद्यकशास्त्र यांचाही त्यांनी अभ्यास केला आहे. त्यांचे जीवन साधे, पण प्रयोगशील आहे. हे पुस्तक त्यांच्या स्वतःच्या अनुभव, निरीक्षण आणि प्रयोगांवर आधारित आहे.

सत श्री अकाल, दास अजीत सिंह भल्ला सिख धर्म के सिद्धांतों और गुरुबाणी के प्रति गहरा विश्वास रखते हैं। आपने सिख इतिहास, गुरुओं के जीवन तथा गुरमत विचारधारा का गहन अध्ययन किया है।
इस पुस्तक के माध्यम से लेखक का उद्देश्य युवा पीढ़ी तथा जिज्ञासु पाठकों तक सिख गुरुओं की शिक्षाओं को सरल और सहज भाषा में पहुँचाना है, ताकि वे गुरु परंपरा के आध्यात्मिक और सामाजिक संदेश को समझ सकें।
लेखक ने इससे पूर्व गुरु अमरदास जी (तीसरे नानक जी) के जीवन पर आधारित पुस्तक लिखी है। इसके अतिरिक्त सिख गुरु और मराठा संतों की सामाजिक भूमिका पर आधारित पुस्तक “दो धाराएँ एक प्रकाश” भी लिखी है।
लेखन और अध्यापन के साथ-साथ लेखक धर्म-प्रचार तथा समाज जागरण के कार्यों में सक्रिय रूप से संलग्न हैं।
